BLOG – How To Make Your Garden A Place To Entertain In

As the weather begins to warm up, and as lockdown restrictions continue to ease, it’s the perfect time to start planning some celebrations!  Whether that’s an intimate meal for family members or a small garden party for friends – let the celebrations begin!

And what better place to entertain but in the place you’ve become well accustomed to over the past year, plus it’s one place guaranteed to be open… your own garden.

We’ve put together some top tips to ensure your gatherings are guaranteed to be enjoyed by all! ….

Shelter

We know British weather doesn’t always work out the way we hope so having shelter is essential. Something as simple as a pop up gazebo is perfect.

There are various types of gazebos that differ in weight, height, weather resistance, durability and stability. If you are wanting a cover that will remain stood for a long period of time, that will play host to many outdoor parties and gatherings, check out the options here.

Warmth

Even on the few warm days we get each year, when the sun goes down so does the temperature so be prepared! Grab your blankets or if you want to add a little outdoor style to your garden invest in a fire pit, patio heater or wood burner.

Not only do they help keep the cool air at bay, they also make your garden look irresistibly cosy!

You may be wondering which is best suited for you? Well, when thinking of outdoor fires, camping trips instantly spring to mind, and if your wanting to roast marshmallows there’s nothing quite like a stylish fire pit.

Comfort

Comfort is key. A cosy seating area is essential for keeping friends and family comfortable.

Something like a cushioned dining area or a garden sofa will instantly make the space a great area to relax and unwind.

A trending garden feature could be an outdoor carpet. You really are bringing the inside out with this feature, used on patios and terraces, meaning your outdoor space can be as stylish and cosy as your heart desires.

Light

Light it up. Set the mood with beautiful lighting by hanging fairy lights and lanterns.

Lighting that does the job but acts as an eco- friendly solution is solar panel lighting. Your garden will receive the ultimate glow up. Solar panelled lights come in different shapes and sizes to suit your garden.

Rock lights are great if you’re aiming for a natural feel, whereas something like solar dancing flame torches add a modern flare and perfectly complement any fire pit.

Solar panelled wall lights are an alternative purchase if you are wanting a more bright light. And for low lighting motion sensors are great for illuminating your pathways and seating areas.

An inviting menu

Make it a stress free gathering by preparing an inviting menu of all things food and beverages.

Whether it’s off the grill or nibbles we have you covered. So if we’re talking the grill, it has to be the staple burgers, hot dogs or chicken wings… there’s plenty of recipes here to guide you!

Or maybe vegetarian dishes such as, sweet potato burgers, falafels or corn on the cob may be a better option for some guests… there’s so much to enjoy, click recipes to help get you started!
