Albemarle Homes has launched a new community fund to support charities, schools, community groups and not-for-profit organisations across Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
The Albemarle Homes Community Fund will provide £2,000 of support each year, with applications opening twice annually. It has been created to give a helping hand to local causes that could benefit from additional funding for a project, activity or much-needed resource, applicants can apply for funds from £100 to £1,000, depending on their needs.
Albemarle Homes already has a strong track record of supporting the communities in which it builds. Its recent work has included sponsoring grassroots sports teams, donating books to local schools and helping to support improvements to a Scout hut.
The housebuilder is also a long-standing supporter of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity and its annual Our Shining Stars Christmas appeal, and has donated over £33,000, to help fund projects that improve the care and experiences of patients, families and staff.
The housebuilder now wants to extend that support to more organisations making a difference across the local area.
Darryl Barker, Managing Director at Albemarle Homes, said: “We are proud to support Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Charity and have seen the positive difference that local organisations can make within our communities.
“There are so many charities, schools and groups doing fantastic work across Doncaster and Bassetlaw, often with limited resources. Sometimes, a little extra help can make a real difference, whether that is funding new equipment, supporting an activity or help to get a community project off the ground.”
“Our new Community Fund gives local organisations the opportunity to tell us about the work they are doing and how Albemarle Homes could support them.”
Applications for support can be for anywhere from £100 to £1,000 and are welcomed from charities, community organisations, voluntary groups and schools based in, or supporting people within, Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
The fund will open for applications twice a year, with the first round of applications opening on 30 October and run until the end of December, with funding awarded to the successful applicants in January 2027.
